CAMS.INI - ORDER ENTRY DISPLAY OPTIONS

This is an excerpt  from a sample file  showing  the fields currently available in the Order Entry section of the configuration file "CAMS.INI":

Here is an explanation of the values:

 

Default Ship Date=10 Sets the default ship date to be 10 days after the date order is entered
PO Length=10 The total combined length of the field which contains the "caller name" and purchase order # is 30 characters. Increasing the number of characters in the PO reduces those available for the caller's name.

OrderTypeFileName=ORDRTYPE.USR
 
Name of file which contains the user names for types of orders. See this file for examples.
Default Order Type Index=4 Displays value selected in ORDRTYPE.USR
Default FOB Index=1 Displays value selected in FOB.USR
Default Priority Index=-1 Displays value selected in ORDRPRIO.USR  Note that in this file only the -1 value leaves the field blank.
Size Change=Opening,T,W,H Values shown for special size selection on printed forms
Include Picture=No
 
YES includes product picture alongside items on acknowledgments
Use Product Definitions=NO

 
YES overrides b/m options with those from "product definition"
Use Fiscal Year=NO 
 
YS displays customer order history by fiscal year rather than calendar year.
Calculate Freight=NO ; YES automatically calculates freight and carrier based on values in ZIPINFO.USR

NO allows "0"  value for dimension
Reset Global Options=Yes NO retains prior global (order) options when entering next item in order entry.
Reset Local Options=Yes NO retains prior local (product) options when entering next item in order entry if the prior item was in the same local option class as the current item.
Round Price=No Rounds price to nearest full dollar
Round Price to Dollar=No Rounds price to next higher full dollar
Exact Search Required=No "NO" does not require entry of exact product #. This option finds closest product # by a code search. In either case you can always right-click to search for a product #

Quantity field is pre-filled with default value
Batch Add=Yes
 
"YES" allows input via an Excel spreadsheet. See Batch Order Entry
Replan On Ship Date=Yes If ship date of in-process orders is changed the order is replanned and new documents issued
Price=true Asks for confirmation if price is $0
Product Options First=yes Displays product options when item is entered - rather than order options.
summary sizes=yes Displays product sizes on the Order Entry Summary screen
calculate weight=yes "yes" or""prompt" If product weight = 0, asks whether you want the system to calculate it. You must calculate it or manually enter a weight.

"never" or "no" if weight is not to be calculated.

"zero" always calculate if weight is "0"

"always" calculate whether or not default weight is zero

 

summary weight=yes Displays product weight on the Order Entry Summary screen

(Note that there is never spaces around the "=" sign)
