Plan & Perform - Product or Project Estimate
Plan & Perform rapidly estimates the cost of an individual item or entire project. It evaluates a list of components and applies standard costs (from SIM*plicity's database) for Material, Labor and Overhead. The list can be automatically generated from a product engineering program, the items on a customer order or by just a freeform entering of materials, labor and other expenses.
SIM*plicity tracks actual factory and installation labor by job so you can view your performance against your estimate at any time. Note that SIM*plicity has automatic costing of standard and customized products. Plan and Perform helps by providing quick answers to "What if?" scenarios such as, hanging a shelf under a table [add shelf material and labor to standard cost estimate for table]or shipping normally assembled products- kd without cartons for field assembly [start with entire order and subtract assembly labor and packing materials].

| Product Engineering | Bill of Material Flow Chart | Bills of Materials are the core of true manufacturing systems. They link together customer orders, manufacturing instructions with material and labor requirements. Dynamic (parametric) Bills of Material are used for entire families of products eliminating the need at most companies for 90% of individual Bills of Material. However, Static (Conventional) Bills of Material are still valuable and our system incorporates them with a full range of Options and Features |
